4-8-1: PURPOSE:link

Dry summers combined with limited snowfall have left the village with depleted water aquifers which serve as the village's source for its potable water system. It is necessary and prudent to institute watering restrictions to enable the aquifers to be recharged to normal and adequate levels to ensure the village is able to provide sufficient water for firefighting and domestic purposes. (Ord. 2002-6-3, 6-12-2002)

4-8-3: SPECIAL PERMIT:link

Upon good cause shown, a special permit may be issued for additional watering of new lawns or new vegetation for a period of fourteen (14) consecutive days to allow watering on both even and odd numbered days. These special permits may be obtained from the village hall during normal business hours. Watering on Sundays is still prohibited despite the issuance of a special permit and all such watering must conform with subsection 4-8-2C of this chapter. (Ord. 2002-6-3, 6-12-2002)
